Sergio Bellotti – “Melodic Drums” course
Sergio Bellotti arrived in the USA from Italy in 1995. He quickly became very active in the music scene of Boston as well as attending the Berklee College of Music as a scholarship winner. He has since become a worldwide known clinician/performer/educator. Sergio has also recorded and/or shared the stage with Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Tom Scott, Bob James, Robben Ford, Nathan East and Dan Siegel among others. Sergio is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music since 2002, has performed at: the Montreal Drum Festival in 2003 ,the Cape Breton International Drum Festival,the Berklee World Percussion Festival from 2005 to present, and at Percussive Arts Society International Convention in 2005 and 2009 in the USA and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Italy in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011 as well as KOSA 2010 and 2011. Sergio co leads Spajazzy (2 cds feat. Mike Stern) and WeJazzUp as well as duo with Alessandra Belloni.

Sergio Bellotti moved from the south of Italy to the USA in 1995. Very active in the music scene of Boston first and as a worldwide clinician/performer, Sergio has recorded and/or shared the stage with Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Tom Scott, Bob James, Robben Ford, Nathan East, Rocco Ventrella, Gary Grainger and Dan Siegel among others. He currently plays with fusion ensemble Spajazzy (first Cd with Mike Stern) and co-leads a Duo with Percussion Virtuoso and Remo Signature Artist Alessandra Belloni.
Sergio performs weekly with WeJazzUp! as well as with many others local musicians and visiting artists.
Sergio is the founder of the successful “Do You Speak Drumming” program with allows him to travel to Italy up to 4 times a year for clinics/Master Classes and concerts, and gives an opportunity to international students to experience full immersion one-on-one lessons as well as life in the music scene of Boston filled with jam sessions, clinics and much more.
Sergio has been teaching part-time as a regular visiting artist at the GM drum school in Torino and the Conservatorio Della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano Swiss.
Sergio has taught drum set at Berklee College of Music since 2002, writes for DrumClub magazine in Italy, and, as a worldwide clinician, has performed at the Montreal Drum Fest ’03 (now available on DVD), Cape Breton International Drum Fest 2004, 2005 and 2006, Berklee World Percussion Festival ’05 and at PASIC ’05 and ’09 in the USA and PASIC ‘06,07 and 2010 in Italy as well as KOSA 2010 and 2011 in Vermont, Kosa 2012 in Italy and was the MC at the Joe Morello Tribute Concert in Italy in May of 2011. Sergio also serves as a drum set committee member for the Percussive Artist Society since 2011.
